Birthday Gift

I heard that sometimes the most beautiful thing to do is to give. And only when its really worth so much does the giving become more meaningful. I have been cradling this love and many times i found myself clasping it close, too scared to set it free, too tired to let it be ...

This time im ready to give it so it may grow. And this birthday i have given the greatest gift i could ever give in this life. And i guess what i heard is true. If its really special, if its sincere, and if its given from the heart, then, and only then, can one say she has truly loved.

I believe twas Og Mandino who wrote that unreciprocated love flows back to you and softens and purifies your heart,..and for this you should count it a blessing.

...in this case however allow me to second-guess,....a love of such selflessness and ready acceptance surely must have some nourishment,..perhaps even partly coming from the supposed unloving or unreciprocating beloved.

...what is the gauge of "unreciprocated-ness" anyway? each one gives love according to his life's circumstances --- his heart's design. there is a givenness about it that is not dictated. it gives what it can,...and one makes do with what one gets,..in the process redefining reciprocation or lessening the wantingness for an equal reply.

...uncertainty aside, a quiet love is a well of insights. it cultivates such contemplation,....and invites to the surface the ready arm of one's internal resources - words, wit, wisdom.

..and as the case of most internal resources, they seek nourishment upon the home of all certainty,....the source of the truest love,...the Eternal Resource.

... all is well with majorie,...resources intact...the birthday present of a lifetime.
